The UN Security Council called for an urgent end to hostilities and the formation of a new government in Afghanistan.
This is stated in a statement following an emergency meeting of the Security Council on Afghanistan.
In particular, the World Organization pointed out the need to create a new, unified and inclusive government of the country through negotiations.
