The Finnish Parliament will soon decide on the possibility of the country joining NATO.
This was stated on Thursday by Prime Minister Sanna Marin at a briefing following a meeting with her Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens.
According to Marin, the prospective membership of Finland with its powerful army could make a significant military contribution to the alliance.
The Prime Minister noted that the war between Russia and Ukraine has radically changed the security situation in Europe.
The politician added that Helsinki will continue to support Ukraine.
