Naval exercises with international participation “Breeze 2021” have started in Varna. They began with a demonstration of actions to extinguish a fire on a merchant ship. Other scenarios will be played out later, including combat shootings at sea.
The exercise involves 30 auxiliary warships and boats, three aircraft, eight helicopters and more than 2,000 troops from 14 countries that are members of the NATO Permanent Naval Group and the NATO Permanent Mine Action Group. The training will last eight days.
