In their quest to achieve their goals, many people make unconscious nutritional mistakes that prevent them from achieving the results they want. Here are the subconscious mistakes you shouldn’t make.
Skip breakfast
You are not hungry in the morning. You tell yourself that this is even better, because you will miss the extra calories. As a result, by noon you are starving, and by the evening you have already saved up a large portion for dinner, because you think you can afford it – you have not had breakfast yet.
This is perhaps the biggest mistake you can make because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Any other meal can be skipped (although not recommended), but not breakfast. It should be rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fiber to give you energy for the whole day.
Insufficient sleep
Sleep is critical for metabolism. The body needs enough sleep every night to be able to break down and absorb all the nutrients well enough, convert them into energy and be able to keep all vital functions in the right direction.
Too long intervals between meals
The body needs constant energy. If you make the mistake of eating large gaps between meals, there is a risk of overeating. Structuring a multi-meal diet into smaller meals at shorter intervals is a good strategy to help prevent hunger and overeating.
