Bali decided to lure tourists with breast and buttock augmentation

The authorities of Bali have decided to invest in the plastic surgery industry and make the popular Asian island a sought-after destination for medical tourism. This became known from the report of the Australian TV channel Nine Network.

It is reported that after a sharp decline in tourist traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic, the authorities began to look for new ways to attract travelers to the island. So, in a few months, a new center for aesthetic and anti-aging medicine will open in Bali at Sangla Hospital. It is planned that he will be able to compete with the proposed procedures and operations in the leading centers in Thailand and Singapore.

Clients of the center will be able to receive plastic surgery services in a large number of areas, such as breast augmentation, buttocks, or Botox injections, as well as specialized post-operative care.

It is noted that tourism revenues account for more than 50 percent of the Bali economy – about 70 percent of the population is employed in this area. In 2019, the 6.3 million travelers who visited the island brought about $7.8 billion to the authorities. More than 700,000 residents have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to official figures.
