On Thursday, South Korea sent a proposal to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to jointly host the 2032 Summer Olympics with North Korea.
The Yonhap news agency reported that Seoul had submitted a “written proposal” from the Pyongyang Games to the IOC host committee, as previously agreed by the parties.
In 2018, Seoul and Pyongyang agreed to apply for the joint holding of the 2032 Olympic Games.
South Korea hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. He also hosted the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul.
The IOC supported Brisbane, calling the Australian city the “best partner” of the 2032 Games.
Australia previously hosted the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
