Italy lifts most covid restrictions

On May 1, the Italian authorities decided to lift most of the anti-coronavirus restrictions in force in the country.

So, Green Pass will not be needed to visit indoor restaurants and cafes, open-air events, for travel by all types of transport.

The Super Green Pass remains valid only when visiting medical facilities and nursing homes until December 31, 2022.

The requirement to fill out a form to enter the country (PLF – Passenger Locator Form) is abolished.

The mask regime has been canceled at retail outlets and catering outlets, at stadiums, and when attending outdoor events. Wearing masks in these places is recommended.

Until June 15, an FFP2 type mask will be mandatory when traveling on all types of urban and intercity transport, in hospitals, schools, cinema halls, theaters, concert and sports venues.

Recall that in Italy there were very strict anti-coronavirus restrictions – unvaccinated citizens were even forbidden to use public transport.
