The collapse of a part of a glacier in the Dolomites in Italy killed five people.
This was stated to journalists by representatives of the mountain rescue service of the Veneto region.
Over the weekend, part of a glacier in the Marmolada mountain range collapsed in the Dolomites in northeastern Italy. 15 people could have been at the site of the collapse. Seven have already been found and taken to hospitals.
According to local media, the day before in this mountainous area popular with tourists, a record air temperature was recorded – 10 degrees above the norm.
