Dangerously hot – Italy captured by anticyclone “Lucifer”

A new wave of heat is approaching in Italy. Today in eight Italian cities – Rome, Campobasso, Bari, Frosinone, Latina, Palermo, Perugia and Rieti, an alarm was sounded about the dangerous hot weather, and it is expected that the most dangerous will be there on Wednesday, according to ANSA. The red code for four of these settlements will come into force tomorrow – Rome, Bari, Rieti and Campobasso.

According to forecasts, in some places in the south of the country the temperature may rise to 48 degrees. Up to 30 degrees Celsius is expected at an altitude of 1,500 meters, and up to 45 degrees Celsius in the Po Valley.

The heat will last until August 15 and is associated with an anticyclone called Lucifer, adds “ANSA”.

The heat wave is sweeping the country, it continues to fight fires in Calabria, Sicily, Lazio, Sardinia, Basilicata, Campania and Molise. Eight fires are raging in Calabria alone. For one fire in the districts of Umbria and Abruzzo.
