According to the health minister, Israel has administered two doses of Covid-19 to more than half of its 9.3 million population. The rapid deployment of the cassation helped the country get out of the situation in the midst of a pandemic, according to Reuters.
In a statement on this important achievement amid a steady decline in new Covid-19 cases, Health Minister Julius Edelstein urged citizens to “follow [health] recommendations so that the coronavirus does not return.”
Israel considers the Palestinians of East Jerusalem part of its population and provides them with vaccines. The government has also offered vaccines to Palestinians working in Israel and settlements in the occupied West Bank.
