On March 30, a demonstration was held in Rabat against the rapprochement between Morocco and Israel.
The demonstration in the Moroccan capital Rabat was organized by the National Working Group on Palestine.
Moroccans took to the streets with slogans “The people demand punishment for the participants in the normalization process,” “No normalization,” “The people condemn the government.”
The General Secretary of the National Working Group for Palestine, Abdulqadir al-Alemi, said that in the days when the Moroccan people express solidarity with Palestine, our leaders are negotiating to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.
“This process is taking place against the will of the Arab Muslim world,” al-Alemi said.
He further added that the Moroccan people accuse Foreign Minister Burita and all the leaders who attended the Najaf summit in Israel of betraying the interests of Palestine.
The summit for the normalization of relations was held on March 27-28 with the participation of the foreign ministers of Israel, the United States, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain.
In 2020, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco announced the beginning of the normalization of relations with Israel.
