Travel regime for citizens of Ukraine
Entry mode: visa-free
To enter Indonesia, you must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the time you cross the border.
For short-term travel (up to 30 days), if you cross the border in certain places, a visa is not required.
Visa-free entry applies to holders of ordinary, service and diplomatic passports who make a short-term (up to 30 days) visit to RI.
The visa-free regime does not apply to persons visiting RI for journalistic purposes.
Ukrainians can travel to RI without visas for tourism, family visits, social purposes, for art and cultural exchanges, short-term government duties, lectures and seminars, meetings of RI headquarters or branches of international companies in RI, transit to other countries.
To obtain a residence permit in RI, citizens of Ukraine must present a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in RI, as well as return tickets or tickets to another country.
The residence permit obtained in this way cannot be extended or changed to another.
A visa for entry into Indonesia may be issued in the form of a stamp, a sheet of paper affixed to a passport, a separate card or an electronic card. The visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issue. If the visa is not used within the specified period, the person must re-apply for a visa.
To obtain a visa, the applicant, in addition to the completed and signed application form, must submit the following documents:
the passport is valid for at least six months from the moment of crossing the border;
round trip ticket or third country ticket;
two photos;
confirmation or written guarantee of sufficient funds to stay in Indonesia;
confirmation of payment of the consular fee.
For children under 9, if the child is registered in the parents’ passport – the visa is issued free of charge.
Children older than 9 years pay the full cost of the visa (regardless of passport).
Indonesian authorities strictly adhere to the practice of not allowing foreigners if the passport is valid for less than six months.
In this context, it should be noted that the country has a rather strict visa regime and severe sanctions for violating it (possible imprisonment for up to 5 years or a fine of about $ 2,000). For each day of stay in the country after the expiration of the visa – a fine of 20 USD.
