Foreigners must pay all living, testing and treatment costs, while the government covers the costs of most Indonesians returning.
Details of the quarantine in Indonesia
Large-scale social constraints in Jakarta are eased in several stages. Basic services are available, but community activities (including schools, offices, religious events, social and cultural gatherings, and public transportation) continue to be restricted to maintain social distancing. Wearing a face mask outdoors is a must. Violation of restrictions may be subject to criminal sanctions. Similar restrictions apply in some other areas of Indonesia.
Previous restrictions are gradually being eased and shops, bars and restaurants are resuming operations operating at 50% of their normal capacity and with a social distance of 1 meter. Restrictions remain for large public gatherings.
Accommodation, including hotels and private rental options, continues to be open to business throughout Indonesia. Social distancing measures are applied in hotels.
