At least 46 people have been killed and hundreds injured in a 5.6 magnitude earthquake that hit the Indonesian island of Java.
The tremor occurred at about 13:30 local time at a depth of about 10 kilometers. No tsunami threat was reported. The earthquake was felt throughout the island and neighboring ones.
In the capital Jakarta, people left the buildings and took to the streets.
