An earthquake with a magnitude of 7 occurred today in the sea near the province of North Sulawesi on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the National Geophysical Service reported, as cited by Reuters.
The service clarified that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 64 kilometers and there is no danger of a tsunami.
According to the US Geophysical Institute, cited by France Press, the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.2.
