Indian Prime Minister shared a video of over 3000 antelopes crossing the road (VIDEO)

In a stunning video posted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thousands of Garn antelopes were crossing the road in a national park in India’s Bhavnagar district of Gujarat.

“Excellent!” this is how Prime Minister Modi described this observation. The Prime Minister retweeted a video of a large herd of antelope in the Velavadar-Blackbak National Park, originally posted on Twitter by the Gujarat Information Department.

Harn antelopes are protected animals and their hunting is prohibited under the Wildlife Act 1972. Once widespread in the Indian subcontinent, they are now on the endangered species list after declining numbers due to over-hunting, deforestation and environmental degradation.

Velavadar National Park, an hour’s drive north of Bhavnagar, is famous for its antelope population. In addition, the park is home to a large number of birds and animals. You can also see several species of migratory birds, such as pelicans and flamingos.
