According to the Ministry of Health, India has recorded a record daily increase in 234,692 Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours.
According to Reuters, this was the eighth record daily increase in the last nine days.
The total number of cases reached almost 14.5 million, second only to the United States, which reported more than 32 million infections.
India’s mortality from Covid-19 increased by 1,341 and reached a total of 175,649, according to the data.
