An outrageous hotel in the shape of a giant colon and entrance in the form of an anus has attracted the attention of travelers with its design. They believe you can have a good rest and “digest” in an unusual hotel.
It’s about a hotel with the funny name CasAnus, built in Belgium on a tiny island between Antwerp and Ghent. Its special feature is the architecture and design that exactly replicates the human colon, the Daily Star reported. For travelers who are in search of unusual sensations, this place is a unique place to stay. However, sometimes vacationers complain about the numerous bees circling. Nevertheless, the “hotel in the shape of a hole in the ass” takes the first place in the list of destinations, the existence of which tourists hardly ever thought about.
The “CasAnus” house is shaped like a human digestive system, and part of the colon has been transformed into a bedroom. There is a double bed, a table, a shower, and a toilet, as well as other amenities – lighting, water supply, and electric heating.
On specialized forums, travelers shared their impressions of their stay there. For example, they said that the feeling of being like a large intestine disappears in the walls of the art space, as the interior of the hotel is clean and white, and the large windows offer views of the surrounding fields and countryside.
The author of the strange and unique building is a designer from the Netherlands, Joep Van Lieshout, who originally conceived this building as an outrageous art object. According to his idea, the hotel should show the human body as an “ideal system”.
The price for a room starts from 120 euros based on two people in one bedroom. The price of accommodation also includes a delicious breakfast and a visit to the museum of the Verbeke Foundation, where vacationers get acquainted with notable works of art and sculptures. Adult entrance to the park usually costs 13 euros.
CasAnus is not the only artwork in the museum where tourists can spend the night. So, in recent years, the sculpture park has also seen Blob VB3 — glamorous camping capsules — and CampingFlat, where tents are set up on tall scaffolding resembling treehouses.
