According to the head of the Cypriot Ministry of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, Cyprus hoteliers will not only not raise prices for accommodation this year.
According to the minister, it was not easy to contain the increase in the cost of hotels while maintaining a high quality of service last year, but they managed to do it. In general, in 2021, price growth did not exceed the inflation rate and amounted to no more than 2%.
This year, the island’s hotels will offer tour operators special rates, which will make the Cypriot tourist product very competitive.
In addition, the minister recalled the existing subsidies for tour operators from the Cypriot authorities. We are talking about compensation of 2.5 euros per person per night in a hotel.
