At least 30 people were killed and dozens were injured as a result of the occupation of the Hayat hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu, according to the Somali Guardian.
A number of media outlets claim that the death toll reaches 40 people, wounded – 70.
On Friday evening, the hotel was attacked by militants of the Al-Shabaab group, they previously blew up two cars at the entrance to the hotel. The criminals seized the hotel, which, during the assault, was liberated by law enforcement and special forces of Somalia.
