A popular hotel chain in Turkey will change its name

The Turkish hotel chain Alva Donna Hotels, which is in demand among tourists, which includes Alva Donna Exclusive Hotel Belek (Belek), Alva Donna World Palace Kemer (Kemer), and Alva Donna Beach Resort Side (Side), will change its name to Dobedan Hotels from November 1. This was reported in a release received by travel agents.

“The company structure, management, and personnel policies remain unchanged. Coinciding with the launch of the new brand, additional food and beverage services will be introduced to guests, the renovation of certain areas, as well as expanded features of hotel concepts that will be presented to you at the end of October 2023,” the release explains.

The rebranding of the Alva Donna chain is associated with the death of its owner, which occurred in the summer. According to one of the unofficial versions, the hotels were inherited by close relatives, and now each of the three hotels will have its owner. According to another version, the entire network was bought by one new owner.

Preparations for the rebranding began in August. It was then that the first messages appeared on social networks from tourists vacationing in Alva Donna, who noticed that the hotels began to change signs to Dobedan.

Judging by the comments on social networks, vacationers have not yet noticed any fundamental changes in hotel services. But in the travel agent community, where the topic is also being discussed, some concern is noticeable. “As you know, a new broom sweeps in a new way. It is not yet clear whether there will be a well-coordinated team in each of the hotels. Yes, the territory and beaches will remain the same, but this is the hospitality industry first and foremost, and everything depends on the people,” writes one of the travel agents in a professional chat. And another adds: “The Alva Donna brand was widely known in the market. No certainty rebranding in this case will benefit the network.”
