Following the introduction of internal air traffic test requirements, the Greek authorities announced that the rules would remain in force until Monday, August 23, as the introduction of vaccination in the country stalled.
The Greek Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has said that travelers returning to mainland Greece from the Greek islands must provide a vaccination document, a coronavirus recovery certificate or a negative test result to obtain an entry permit, according to SchengenVisaInfo.com.
The country has also decided to keep its medical measures until August 19 for foreign visitors and foreign tourists as a protection measure, as the vaccination campaign has not made significant progress recently.
Greece currently welcomes travelers from all EU countries and the Schengen area and has banned travelers from most non-EU countries.
Those traveling to Greece from the following 35 countries can enter only with the necessary documents without passing the time of self-isolation upon arrival:
