An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale was registered this morning on the Greek island of Crete, reports Sky TV with reference to BTA.
The earthquake occurred at 9:11 a.m. in the sea near the prefecture of Lasithi, the Greek Institute of Geodynamics reported.
Its epicenter was located 38 km to the north-northeast of the village of Neapoli, where seismic activity has been registered since last week.
The depth of the epicenter is estimated at 14.4 km.
