It became known that from March 28, Germany will require a negative coronavirus test result from everyone who arrives in the country.
Coronavirus test for a trip to Germany
The rules of entry into the country are being tightened. A mandatory condition is that all citizens have a certificate of absence of COVID-19. Without the test, airlines will not allow passengers on board. According to preliminary information, the rule will be valid until May.
Prior to the changes, a negative test was required only from those passengers who arrived in Germany from the list of countries where there is a high risk of coronavirus danger.
Do I need to be quarantined
Since the autumn of last year, all those arriving in Germany are required to undergo a 10-day quarantine. On the 5th day after arrival, you can take a test for coronavirus. In case of a negative result, you can not extend the quarantine.
Before leaving for Germany, you must fill out an electronic questionnaire.
After completing this questionnaire, an entry permit is issued. It must be printed out and presented at check-in.
It is also necessary to issue travel insurance for the entire period of stay in the country.
It is noted that for violation of quarantine rules a fine of 25 thousand euros.
Thus, to travel to Germany you need:
- Pass the COVID-19 test;
- Fill in the electronic questionnaire;
- Get travel insurance;
- Pass 10 days of quarantine (quarantine can last 5 days in case of a negative test).
