The European Parliament voted to extend the COVID-19 vaccination certificates for a year until June 2023.
This decision was made by the European deputies at the session of the European Parliament on Thursday, May 5, in Strasbourg.
In order to respect freedom of movement in the EU, it was clarified that Member States should not impose additional restrictions on the movement of citizens holding digital European certificates, “except in cases of absolute necessity”.
At the same time, this decision is not binding on all countries, and many European countries have already canceled all covid restrictions, including for tourists.
