Former Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov commented on the situation in Afghanistan. According to him, it quickly gets out of control.
“For many years, Bulgaria, as a loyal member of NATO and the EU, has contributed to the support of the Afghan people. However, today we face new challenges. The international democratic community must not allow Afghanistan to become a springboard for international terrorism again, and the Taliban’s atrocities in the past must not go unpunished. The Afghan people need to know that they enjoy the support of the whole world, and those in power must make it clear to everyone that violence and chaos, oppression of women’s rights and other atrocities will not go unnoticed. I hope that Bulgaria will be among the NATO and EU countries that will clearly state such a position! ” – stated Boyko Borisov.
