Dr. Khaled El-Enani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, decided to set minimum prices for hotel accommodation in consultation with the Egyptian Tourism Federation.
The decision stipulates that the minimum price for accommodation (of any type) per person per night in hotels is governed by the provisions of Law № 1 of 1973.
Five-star hotels have $ 40, or the equivalent, and $ 28, or the equivalent of four-star hotels.
The decision is scheduled to take effect on November 1, 2021.
