Library Director Alexandrina Mostafa El-Feki announced that the Zahi Hawassa Center for Egyptology at the library will announce a new archaeological discovery in the city of Habu in Luxor in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities on April 10.
El-Feki praised the efforts made by Hawass and a team of Egyptian scientists and workers in light of the difficult climatic conditions in the desert areas, in an attempt to discover more Egyptian treasures.
El-Feki stressed that “the countries of the world are digging the earth to produce water and oil, and Egypt is digging for the sake of history and civilization.”
He added that this discovery will help unravel the mysteries of different eras of Egyptian civilization.
He explained that each new discovery reveals valuable information and knowledge that did not exist before.
