Croatia will adopt the euro from January 2023

The Croatian Parliament by a majority of votes approved the law on the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic. 117 deputies voted for the new law, 13 parliamentarians voted against, and one abstained.

The euro will completely replace the current national currency, the kuna.

During the transition period, from September 5 until the end of this year, prices will be expressed in two currencies at once – in kunas and euros.
