Beijing closes 92 subway stations due to COVID-19

The authorities of Beijing (China) suspended the work of 92 metro stations located on 17 lines.

The decision was made in connection with the outbreak of coronavirus in the Chinese capital.

Recall that since April 22, 928 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Beijing. Strict restrictions have been introduced in the city: public transport has been suspended, educational institutions have been transferred online, mass events are prohibited, and many cultural facilities are closed. Restrictions also affected the operation of catering outlets. Almost 5 million people out of 21 million residents of the city have been transferred to a remote mode of work.
