A fisherman from Brazil drifted in a freezer across the Atlantic for 11 days

According to the Daily Mail, a Brazilian fisherman miraculously survived after 11 days in a fish freezer in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

It is noted that 44-year-old Romualdo Rodriguez was going to fish in Ilet la Mer for several days on his boat, but the ship suddenly began to sink, and the fisherman hid in the freezer. For a long 11 days, he drifted across the Atlantic until he was rescued by a fishing boat from Suriname. It turned out that the current carried him 450 km from the place where his boat sank.

However, after the rescue, the Brazilian had a new problem: in Paramaribo, he was detained by the Surinamese police because he did not have documents. He spent 16 days behind bars before the situation cleared up and he was sent back to his homeland.
