The Australian Therapeutic Administration (TGA) has approved the use of the vaccine by the American company Moderna in the country. This is stated in the message of the regulator, published on the website of the department.
“The Therapeutic Products Authority has granted Moderna prior authorization to use its COVID-19 vaccine in Australia. This vaccine is approved for active immunization and prevention of coronavirus in people over 18 years, “- said in a statement.
The first batches of the vaccine will be delivered to the Green Continent in September, and at least 10 million doses will be delivered by the end of this year. Another 15 million doses are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2022.
